AN initiative to tackle social isolation in Inverclyde is in the running for up to £70,000 as part of a public vote.
Inverclyde Shed’s Meet, Make, Grow & Share scheme is one of 15 chosen for this year’s The People’s Projects.
The three projects with the most public votes will receive lottery grants of up to £70,000.
Meet, Make, Grow & Share will deliver opportunities for people facing social isolation to re-skill and build friendships over a cuppa and through shared practical activities including furniture making, boatbuilding, welding, gardening and woodland crafts.
Voting is online and closes at noon on Friday 26 May.
