INVERCLYDE’S largest independent property firm, Bowman Rebecchi, has continued its support to St Andrew’s Boys’ Club.

The company has become main sponsor of the football club’s 2016/17 squad.

The team was formed in March 2021 following the lifting of lockdown restrictions and is led by head coach Mark McDevitt and his assistant coaches, providing twice weekly training sessions for more than 20 boys and girls.

To help support the continued development of the four and five-year-olds, St Andrew’s was looking for sponsorship as it continues to develop the skills and technique of its players.

Gourock-based Bowman Rebecchi stepped in, providing support towards training kit and raincoats.

The club has also received support from Greenock maritime business Clyde Outboards as well as trampoline centre Elev8, alongside fundraising by the players and families.

Mark said: “On behalf of the club and parents, I would like to say a big thank-you to Bowman Rebecchi and all of our sponsors, as well as the coaches for their invaluable support volunteering and fundraising to make football affordable for all.

“We are delighted to be able to provide all of our players with a complete set of training kits to ensure they are all uniformed to continue their development going forward with St Andrew’s BC.”

Bowman Rebecchi director Andrew Bowman, whose children also play with the team, said: “We are delighted to support Mark and his team. Having been involved in youth football myself, I know how vital it is to provide the best facilities and kit to enable the team to thrive.

“Bowman Rebecchi is proud to support a range of local groups and organisations including St Andrew’s BC, who provide outstanding and important opportunities for young people.

“Youth football in Inverclyde plays a huge part in so many local people’s lives and it is fantastic to be able to support the team going forwards.”
