POLICE Make Arrests After Greenock BlazeTWO men were arrested after a fire was allegedly started in a close in Greenock town centre.
Fire crews were called to Sir Michael Street around 6.30pm yesterday (Friday).
The blaze involved the front door of a flat and was quickly extinguished.
No one was injured and the property did not need to be evacuated.
Two men, aged 31 and 38, were charged in connection with the incident and have been held in custody to appear in court on Monday.
