POLICE Find Cocaine Worth £160,000 After Pulling Over Vehicle

THREE people have been charged following the recovery of drugs with an estimated street value of £160,000 in Greenock.

Officers from Inverclyde Priority Policing Team on routine patrol stopped a vehicle on Quarrier Street on Tuesday.

A quantity of cocaine was recovered, along with £41,940 in cash.

Three men, aged 38, 44 and 59, have been arrested and charged. They are due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court at a later date.

Sergeant Gary Arthur, Inverclyde Priority Policing Team, said: “This significant recovery highlights our ongoing efforts to rid our communities of dangerous and illegal drugs.

“Drugs cause nothing but misery and we will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to bring those involved in their supply to justice.
