EX-Morton star Chris Millar and Gary Pettigrew of Port Glasgow Juniors have been given permission to use empty industrial space as a gym.
They plan to set up The Fitness Factory at a vacant unit at Gareloch Road in Port Glasgow’s industrial estate.
Their change-of-use application has been approved by Inverclyde Council planning officers.
A document submitted to the council stated: “The premises will function as a fully operational public gym.
“Personal trainers Gary Pettigrew and Chris Millar will conduct their own training sessions with clients.”
The number of users at any one time would not exceed 30.
The centre’s proposed opening hours are 6am to 10pm, Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm on Saturday and 9am to 3pm on Sunday.
