PLANNERS Agree Empty Town Centre Shop Can Be Used As Office

23 December, 2020 | Business, Planning

OFFICE use has been agreed for part of a former carpet shop in Greenock town centre.

An application relating to 8 Grey Place has been approved by Inverclyde Council planners.

The change-of-use proposal was made by Greenwood Moreland Insurance, which took over Campbell Smith Insurance in West Blackhall Street last year.

The vacant shop, which came into new ownership in 2019, has undergone extensive renovation and been split into three units.

Permission was recently granted for Tonino’s Pizzeria to open a takeaway outlet in one of the other units (6 Grey Place).
