INVERCLYDE planners are being asked to approve food/drink use for empty shop premises at Greenock’s retail park.
An application has been submitted seeking to sub-divide unit five at the Waterfront shopping area, between JD Gyms and Home Bargains.
Two smaller units would be created for cafe/restaurant use instead of retail.
Documents lodged with the council planning department do not indicate if any operators are lined up yet.
The proposal is pending consideration by officials.
