INVERCLYDE’S weekend of free outdoor cinema attracted almost 2,500 people — with the experience set to be repeated next month.
Three movies a day were screened to audiences of up to 400 at the all-weather sports pitch at Battery Park, Greenock as part of the district’s Summer of Fun.
The event was organised by Inverclyde Leisure and funded by Inverclyde Council. Another Picture in the Park weekend is to be held on 7/8 August, with films still to be announced.
Films shown included Toy Story 4, Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again; Lion King; The Incredibles 2; Grease and The Greatest Showman: Singalong.
There was also live entertainment before the films plus a children’s event each morning.
