THE only traffic route to Loch Thom and the Greenock Cut at Cornalees Bridge is to close at 7pm each day for nearly a week.
Inverclyde Council is to carry out overnight resurfacing work on the Old Largs Road from Saturday (21 June) until Friday 27 June, 7pm to 6.30am each day.
The road will be closed from its junction with Drumfrochar Road to the boundary with North Ayrshire.
The Old Largs Road is the only traffic route currently available to reach the area around Greenock Cut Visitor Centre and Ardgowan Fishery.
The other way, Dunrod Road from the A78 side, has been closed for nearly three years because it is unsafe.
