DRIVERS are being warned of disruption during roadworks on the A78 between Inverkip and Greenock from this weekend.
The northbound side of the road between the Loch Thom junction and the former IBM site will be resurfaced.
In addition road markings and studs will be replaced, in both directions, to improve road safety along a 3.2km section of the A78 dual and single carriageway between Bankfoot Roundabout and Flatterton Road.
Overnight work will take place from Saturday (16 September) until Saturday 30 September.
The road will be closed between 8pm and 6am each night from Saturday 16 September to Thursday 21 September, with all traffic management to be removed by 6am on Friday 22 September.
There will be additional overnight closures on the northbound carriageway between 8pm and 6am from Tuesday 26 September until Friday 29 September, with all traffic management to be removed by 6am on Saturday 30 September.
Traffic will be diverted via Gourock on the A770.
