Chris Jewell, a spokesman for the organisers, said: “People can vote as often as they want free of charge for as many nominees as they want.
“Voting closes on Monday 19 February and the top five in each category with the most votes will go forward to a panel to decide the winners.”
Winners will be announced at the awards dinner at Greenock Town Hall on Friday 9 March 2018.
Chris continued: “The awards promise to be another very enjoyable occasion for all involved and the net proceeds will go towards providing grants to aspiring Inverclyde sportspeople to help them reach regional, national and international events.”
The 2017 awards have been organised by West College Scotland, Inverclyde Council through Active Schools, Inverclyde Leisure, New Horizons Marketing, and sportscotland with help from 8digital.
Sponsors include West College Scotland, Inverclyde Council, Inverclyde Leisure, Specsavers Greenock, Oak Mall Shopping Centre, VA Business Solutions, Ogilvie Homes, Riverside Inverclyde, sportscotland, O2 Greenock and Ice Catering and Events.
