TWELVE Improve Their Times At Greenock Parkrun
GREENOCK parkrun welcomed 125 participants to the five-kilometre Esplanade course.
Twelve people achieved personal best (PB) times including Neil Lafferty, who finished first for the first time and ran sub-18 minutes (17.27) for the first time.
Others improving their times were Richard Newsome (20:35), Stephen Fulton (23:49), Seonaid MacPhail (27:34), Lynsey McALees (28:26), Andrew Sutherland (29:42), Susan Hunter (29:45), Angela Devlin (29:52), Colin Devlin (30:38), Claire Cassidy (33:21), Roslyn Mitchell (34:41), Irene McIntosh (40:04).
The first female over the line was junior runner Ava Beaton with a time of 21:50, only four seconds off her personal best. Second female Cheryl Thomas was agonisingly only three seconds off of her PB that she set in June last year.
