Inverclyde Now Logo SWIMMING — Impressive Medal Tally For Greenock Otters

GREENOCK Otters took part in the West Regional Championships for swimmers with physical and learning difficulties.

The event, which was held at Tollcross Swim Centre in Glasgow, proved to be very successful for the team as they won 15 gold medals, three silver medals and two bronze medals.

The medal winners were:

Gold

Brogan Phillips — 25m backstroke and 25m freestyle, both Class 10

Chloe Swinney — 25m backstroke, Class 9 and 25m freestyle, Class 5

William Heron — 25m backstroke and 25m breaststroke, Class 6 and 50m freestyle, Class 1

Jack Thomson — 50m backstroke, Class 4

Lynn O’Neill — 50m backstroke, Class 3 and 50m freestyle, Class 1

Robert McDonald — 25m backstroke, Class 8 and 25m freestyle, Class 9

Alan Watkins — 25m freestyle, Class 7

Michael McLaughlin — 50m freestyle, Class 2

Zoe McDiarmid — 50m freestyle, Class 2

Silver

Luca Talacchia– 25m breaststroke, Class 5 and 50m freestyle, Class 1

Lynn O’Neill — 50m breaststroke, Class 3

Bronze

Jack Thomson — 50m freestyle, Class 2

Jethro Dougan — 100m individual medley, Class 4
