Inverclyde Now Logo SWIMMING — Greenock Otters Compete At Championships

GREENOCK Otters competed at the West Regional Championships for swimmers with both Learning and Physical Disabilities.

The team had eight competitors at the event which was held at Tollcross Swimming Centre.

Medal winners:

Gold

Jethro Dougan, 100m Individual Medley and 50m Breaststroke (both Class 4)

Chloe Swinney, 25m Freestyle (Class 6)

Zoe McDiarmid, 50m Freestyle (Class 2) and 50m Backstroke (Class 4)

Brogan Phillips, 25m Freestyle (Class 8)

Robert McDonald, 25m Freestyle and 25m Backstroke (both Class 7)

Silver

Brogan Phillips, 25m Backstroke (Class 7)

Michael McLaughlin, 50m Freestyle (Class 2)

Bronze

Chloe Swinney, 25m Backstroke (Class 7)

Jack Thomson, 25m Backstroke (Class 5) and 50m Freestyle (Class3)

William Heron competed well but unfortunately finished out of the medals.
