NEARLY 100 runners — including 12 first-timers — tackled Greenock parkrun on the Esplanade on Saturday in warm September sunshine.
The dry and calm weather conditions were ideal for personal best (PB) times — with 12 runners completing the five-kilometre course faster than previously.
Gordon Robertson continued his consistent improvement over the summer by clocking a PB of 21:04 on his 15th parkrun.
Janice Lowles, above, recorded a hat-trick of three PBs in as many runs to lower her time to 41:52 on her 22nd run at Greenock.
Not to be outdone, Alan Adair achieved a fourth consecutive improvement, reaching 30:14 on his 18th parkrun.
Also improving their times were Neil McCheyne, Graeme Boyce, Alan Dick, Corinna McIlwraith, Billy Docherty, Ailish Rae, Jan Green, Christie McAlpine and Jemma Gray.
