THE last Greenock parkrun five-kilometre event of 2019 attracted 121 runners, joggers and walkers at the Esplanade start line.
Among the athletes were seven runners taking part in parkrun for the first time — including Martin Thorpe from Ohio in the USA.
Two runners completed their 50th parkruns. David Jenkins has done all of his runs at Greenock.
Gerry McDonland, a regular visitor to various Scottish parkruns, clocked up his half century on his first visit to Greenock parkrun.
Three parkrunners achieved a personal best time including Barbara Watt who, on her eighth run at Greenock, stopped the timekeeper’s clock at 26:52.
The next parkrun will be on New Year’s Day — at the party-friendly time of 11am.
