THE driving force behind bringing parkrun to Greenock has celebrated running his 200th parkrun.

Graham McGrattan achieved the milestone run at the Esplanade course on Saturday.

It is testament to Graham that nearly 2,600 runners have been along to the free weekly five-kilometre time-trial since it started in May 2014.

He has run 128 of the 220 events at Greenock and volunteered a further 151 times. Graham has also completed 47 parkruns at Pollok plus as far away as Melbourne, Australia (twice) and a host of others across Scotland and the UK.

Greenock parkrun thank those who helped Graham celebrate his 200th, including Andy Cameron for the special ‘200’ scone.
