GOUROCK Golf Club held its mixed open event with 112 players from 18 clubs competing for the Robert and Marion Rice Trophy.

The players valiantly, and in good humour, coped well with cloudy and drizzly conditions. Fortunately, because of the beautiful season so far, the course was playing well.

Course manager Hugh Logue and his team of greenkeepers are to be congratulated for the conditions out on the course despite the disappointing weather.

The visitors enjoyed the usual warm hospitality extended to them by the Gourock members.

Gourock Golf Club thank Tweetiepie Media for their generous sponsorship.

Iain and Anna Easdale, from Erskine Golf Club, won the handicap prize and the trophy with a winning score of 73.8.

The scratch prize was won by Kenny McGeachy and Emma Boyd, members at Cambuslang Golf Club and Gourock Golf Club respectively, with a gross score of 84.
