THE Girls’ Section at Port Glasgow Juniors Community Sports Club held its awards night.

The club congratulates all the girls involved and thanks Rangers and Scotland player Amy Muir who handed out the trophies.

Referee player of the year — Sophie Cannon

Chairman award — Alanah Ward

Managers’ player of the year — Victoria Brade

Players’ player of the year –– Emma McLeod

Joint top scorers — Zara Kelly and Ellie Anderson

Referee player of the year — Victoria Brade

Most-improved player — Emma McLeod

Most club-minded — Tess O’Brien

The club thanks the committee for arranging the night, George from Trophy Box, Joe from Holy Family Church hall, all the bar staff and Garry Spence the DJ, plus sponsors Happy Hound Hotel, Belhaven Dentist and Sanmina.

Trials — Port Juniors Girls Football will be holding trials for the following age groups on Monday 4 December, 6 to 7:30pm at the shared campus in Kilmacolm Road — Under-Nines, Under-11s, Under-13s, Under-15s and Under-17s, 

The club is also looking for coaches for Under-11s, Under-13s and Under-17s. Anyone interested or who wants more details should contact Margaret on 07908 206262.
