PORT Glasgow Juniors Community Sports Club’s 2002s and under-13 girls were victorious at a tournament held by the club last weekend.

Despite the wet weather, there was some excellent football on display at Parklea. Mark Jardine was player of the 2002s competition.

Coaches and players thank Port Glasgow Boys, St Conval’s and Hampden Boys for their attendance and good sportsmanship and wish them all the best in the forthcoming league.

The club also thank everyone behind the scenes for a great weekend, plus Paddy’s Snack Bar and JW Grant for continued support, and new sponsors Sangamo and Saba Food.

The girls clocked up wins against Renfrew, Morton and Dumbarton. Julie Brade was player of the girls’ under-13s competition.

The team thank all the girls who attended as they showed great sportsmanship in all the games. They also thank the parents and everyone who helped make the tournament a success.
