PAUL Symington has clinched the Alex Hunter Summer Time Trial League points trophy.

Nine riders took part in the race held on 14 August on the 13-mile undulating course, enjoying warm dry conditions.

Newcomer Rab Anderson on his road bike set an excellent time of 38:36. With only a few races left in the league, he will no doubt be able to shave off a few more seconds before the season wraps up for the winter.

The victory was secured by youngster Rory McMillan, above, who crossed the line with a superb time of 29:09 and set a personal best (PB).

It was always going to be a close battle for top spot with Rory McMillan and Paul Symington on Alex’s start sheet. But Paul had the bit between his teeth as he set off to settle the score on last week’s result.

Paul, above, managed to out-pace the youngster this week, to take the victory and set another superb personal best time of 29:10. Paul’s consistent training and solid race form has secured him the 2018 Alex Hunter Summer league points trophy.
