Inverclyde Now Logo CRICKET — Inverclyde Taking Strong Squad To Face Glasgow South

21 June, 2018 | Local

AFTER the disappointment of last weekend’s home game against Bute being lost to the weather, Inverclyde travel to the Hamilton Palace ground on Saturday to play Glasgow South in their next Western District Cricket Union Division Four fixture.

Opening bowler Gareth James returns to the side after injury and Cammy Gunn, who recently scored a century, is again available, giving captain Dave Cooke and his side a good chance of victory against their second-top opponents.

Team selection will take place on Friday, with the game scheduled for a 1pm start.

Inverclyde’s juniors have a busy few days, taking part in the cricket festival at Glenpark on Sunday, and travelling to play Helensburgh on Tuesday.

Junior practices continue through the summer at 6pm on Tuesdays at Gourock Park, while senior practices are held on Thursday evenings.
