BOWLS — Wellington Park Open Triples Contest

WELLINGTON Park Bowling Club held their annual Greenock Fair Saturday Open Triples competition.

On a glorious day, all 24 teams which entered played a round-robin format which was then followed by quarter, semi and final play-offs.

Bowlers from Inverclyde, Fairlie, Dunoon, Rothesay and Paisley descended on Wellington Park for a full day of bowling, to show off their skills.

Winners — Derek Faulds (Caledonia/Bogleha’), Colin Smith (Dunoon, Argyll) and Tony McAulay (Wellington Park)

Runners-up — Paul McElwee, Darren Robertson (Rankin Park) and Stuart Turner (Charleston)
