INVERCLYDE Leisure has thanked everyone who took part in its annual triathlon.

The competition, based at Gourock Pool, has been running for nearly two decades and features adults’ individual, children’s aquathlon and team events.

For the individual and team events, competitors swim 24 lengths of the pool, cycle 10 kilometres and run five kilometres. The aquathlon is a 12-length swim and three-kilometre run.

Ninety-five competitors took part in the adult event, 23 in the children’s contest and there were five teams.

Race results are available online.

Organisers stated: “We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this event such a resounding success. From the athletes who gave it their all, to the families, friends, and spectators who lined the course with cheers and encouragement, their energy and enthusiasm brought the day to life.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our sponsors, whose generous support helps us deliver an event that continues to grow in scale and impact each year. Their commitment to community health and wellbeing is deeply appreciated.

“A special thank-you goes out to our marshals and volunteers — the unsung heroes who kept the course safe, the transitions smooth, and the atmosphere welcoming. Their dedication and tireless efforts are the backbone of this event.

“To every supporter, spectator, and member of the Inverclyde community: thank you for showing up, cheering loud, and helping us create an environment where everyone feels inspired to push their limits.

“At Inverclyde Leisure, we believe that people are the heart of everything we do, and that great experiences don’t just happen by chance. They’re created by passionate, dedicated individuals who go above and beyond every day. This triathlon was a testament to that spirit.”
