A number of garden sheds have been broken in the past few weeks with items such as bikes and tools taken.

Properties in the Grieve Road and Inverkip Road area in particular have been targeted.

Officers have charged a 59-year-old man with reset.

Sergeant Laura Stewart said: "Various items of property have been recovered and returned to their rightful owners.

"We are continuing to follow up information in relation to the whereabouts of other stolen items and persons responsible.

"We urge members of the public to check their garages, sheds and other outbuildings and report anything suspicious to us on 101."
