POLICE were called to an alleged serious assault at a Greenock pub.
A 55-year-old man suffered lacerations to his head in the incident at Chaplins, Inverkip Street around 7pm (Monday).
He needed hospital treatment
Detectives arrested a 69-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman.
They are expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court today.
