COMPETITION -- Win 'Meet And Greet' With Celebrity Chef Nick Nairn Plus Lunch At The Chartroom

This competition is now closed. The winner was Roseleen Mackie of Port Glasgow

CELEBRITY chef Nick Nairn returns to Scotland's Boat Show at Kip Marina, Inverkip this weekend and Inverclyde Now readers have the chance to win front row seats for one of his cookery demonstrations; a 'meet and greet' with Nick plus lunch at The Chartroom restaurant.

The boat show takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (13 to 15 October) at the marina at Inverkip. Nick Nairn’s demonstrations in the West College Scotland Food and Drink Pavilion take place at noon, 2pm and 3.30pm each day.

Each day the demonstrations will feature different dishes so if people see the early show they can come back later and see Nick create two new dishes using the great products of Scotland’s larder including the award-winning Gigha Halibut.

Tickets are free -- but in high demand. They can be booked at www.scotlandsboatshow.co.uk. A restricted amount will be available on the door.

The West College Scotland Food and Drink Pavilion will be filled with unique Scottish food producers selling and demonstrating their wares in an indoor ‘street market’ style setting, plus a live kitchen and stage area where visitors can enjoy the cooking displays each day from Nick Nairn, ably assisted by young chefs who are studying at West College Scotland’s campuses.

Nick said: “I’m thrilled to be at Scotland’s Boat Show again this year. I absolutely love boats, I even started my career in the Merchant Navy, and did my first TV series Wild Harvest sailing around the Scottish coast visiting Kip Marina during filming.”

Admission to Scotland's Boat Show is free with car parking a nominal £5.
