AWARD-Winning Comedians At Gags On The Green

GREENOCK Cricket Club holds its annual Gags on the Green comedy night on Friday 1 September.

It features four award-winning comedians and takes place in a marquee at the club's Glenpark ground, Brisbane Street.

The Line-Up

Writer, broadcaster, comedian and commentator, Bruce Morton has a shelf of awards after 26 years of making people laugh. His recent work includes writing for artists such as Frankie Boyle and Elaine C. Smith. In February 2017, Bruce appeared in the 15-show run of Still Game Live 2 at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow

Steven Dick was Best Comedy Writer 2017 at the Scottish Comedy Awards. He has become a regular writer for BBC flagship comedy show, Have I Got News For You and has also contributed to series such as Mock the Week, Stand Up for the Week and Live at the Apollo. He has written two stage plays, the Channel 4/Oran Mor Comedy Drama Prize-winning 'The Commission' and 'Faster Louder', which have been staged across Scotland and toured Ireland. 

William 'Parrot' O’Hara won a Lifetime Achievement award with Bruce Morton for their parts in The Funny Farm at the Scottish Comedy Awards 2017. Has is one of the few Scottish comics to be a nominee in the prestigious Perrier comedy awards. 

Susie McCabe was Best Headliner 2017 at the Scottish Comedy Awards and has won acclaim for her extremely honest, self-deprecating, and hilarious. performances. Her humour is witty, subtle, and at times slightly dark.

Tickets for Gags on the Green cost £10 and are available on the night or in advance from behind the bar at the cricket club. Marquee doors open at 7.30pm.
