NEW £2Million Shipyard Office Building Taking Shape

THE latest stage of the transformation of Ferguson Marine Engineering's shipyard in Port Glasgow is underway -- construction of a state-of-the-art office building.

The three-storey £2million structure is being built on a former parking area adjacent to Port Glasgow fire station and will form part of the new entrance to the shipyard when work is complete.

Completion of the building is expected in September 2017. By then, the company will have invested more than £25million on transforming the yard, with new fabrication buildings, state-of-the-art technology, staff facilities, a bigger slipway and more car parking.
