CONSULTATION Event Over New Cruise Ship Berth

A PUBLIC consultation event is being held regarding the proposed multi-million pound dedicated cruise ship berth for Greenock Ocean Terminal.

Peel Ports Clydeport are holding the session on Thursday 11 May from 3 to 7pm at South West Library, Barr's Cottage, Greenock.

The consultation has to be held prior to a marine licence being sought for the project.

The £14.2million development involves creating 150 metres of extra berthing capacity and a terminal at the Albert Quay end of the complex to meet growing demand for cruise and cargo traffic and is being funded through the City Deal project.

The most recent estimate for when work would start was October this year, with completion in October 2018.
