NEW Season Of Greenock Camera Club Meetings Starting

28 September, 2021 | Noticeboard

LOCAL photographers are invited to develop their skills with Greenock Camera Club as it starts its winter season of weekly meetings from Thursday (30 September).

The club welcomes everyone, from experienced photographers to those just starting out and using a phone camera.

Club president Bernie Clark said: “Last year, despite the ongoing pandemic, the club managed to successfully meet via video conferencing.

“This year, with the relaxation of restrictions, meetings are being held using a mixture of physical meetings (in the clubhouse of Greenock Golf Club, Forsyth Street), and via WebEx video conferencing meetings (similar to Zoom).”

He added: “In these challenging days, there is no better time to improve your photographic skills. Club members are able to share their passion for photography, to chat with others interested in photography, listen to speakers, show their photos, look at other members’ pictures and learn from each other about how to use their camera and how to better edit their images.

“It’s a great opportunity for local people to get involved in a fun group and help support each other with a common interest in photography.”

The first meeting will be via video conference call — send an email to greenockcc.info@gmail.com for information on how to access the meeting, which starts at 7:30.
