CONVENIENCE retailer Co-op launched its new larger, food store in Gourock today.
The 4,300 sq ft outlet in Cardwell Road replaces two sites that operated elsewhere on Cardwell Road and on Shore Street.
The new store, on the former Fisher Trucks plot, has a 25-strong workforce, and is open between 6am and 10pm daily.
Co-op says it has a wider range of products and services than that offered by the previous shops.
Mike Grant, store manager, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to launch Co-op’s newest store — we have had a great response, the new store has a great look and feel and the team is really enjoying welcoming the community.
“Our aim continues to be to operate at the heart of local life, and make a positive difference in the community. We have worked to develop the range, choice, products and added services to create a really compelling offer to serve our community, conveniently.”
