MORTON have announced the signing of defender Jack Baird on a pre-contract agreement.
The 26-year-old is returning to Cappielow having previously spent a season on loan to Morton in the 2019/20 season that was cut by the covid-19 pandemic.
He is the first summer signing for Morton boss Dougie Imrie. The deal will keep him at the club until summer 2024.
Baird has been with Ayr United for the past two years.
Imrie said: “I am delighted to get Jack signed up for the next two years. He’s a player with a vast amount of experience playing in the Championship, he knows the league well and is familiar with how competitive it is.”
