THE joy of a debut goal for George Oakley was snuffed out by a disappointing defeat for Morton at Cappielow.
The Greenock side lost 2:1 to Arbroath, who are second from bottom in the Championship.
Oakley’s goal in the fourth minute was followed by two second half goals for the away side.
Morton are sixth in the Championship.
