MORE Lockdown Changes To Rail Timetable

INVERCLYDE’S rail lines are affected by timetable changes starting on Monday (1 February) because of the pandemic lockdown.

Fewer trains will be running across the country with ScotRail saying its focus is on providing a safe and reliable service, particularly for key workers and in support of the vaccination rollout.

The service is being reduced to 65 per cent of pre-pandemic levels around Scotland, delivering 72 per cent of seats.

In Inverclyde there will a half-hourly daytime service between Gourock and Glasgow and an hourly daytime service between Wemyss Bay and Glasgow in operation.

Last trains will be as follows:

1936 Glasgow to Wemyss Bay
1948 Wemyss Bay to Glasgow

2124 Gourock to Glasgow
2006 Glasgow to Gourock
2206 Glasgow to Gourock
