MEN Charged After Allegedly Being Found With Drugs And CashNEARLY £3,000 was seized from two men after police allegedly found them in possession of controlled drugs.
In separate incidents in Greenock’s East End, officers searched the men under misuse of drugs legislation.
Both allegedly had a quantity of a substance believed to be herbal cannabis.
The first search involved a 26-year-old on Belville Street on Friday evening.
He had more than £1,700 which was taken from him under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
The second involved a 25-year-old and happened on Irwin Street on Saturday evening. More than £1,200 was found and seized.
Local area commander Paul Cameron said: “This was excellent proactive work by Inverclyde police officers.”
