BUS operator McGill’s Group was proud to support Erskine Veterans Charity this festive season by donating gifts towards their annual Christmas hampers.
The donations from the Greenock -based company helped ensure that every resident living at Erskine received a gift this Christmas.
Supporting Erskine aligns with the McGill’s “A Little Company Goes a Long Way” campaign, which focuses on fostering a sense of community and connection with people over the age of 60.
Erskine Veterans Charity supports more than 180 residents, many of whom have nursing needs or are living with dementia. Residents at Erskine have served either as regulars or through National Service in the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army, or Royal Air Force.

Caitlin Brown, corporate and partnerships fundraiser at Erskine Veterans Charity, said: “Collections from staff at McGill’s depots will bring festive cheer to so many veterans we work with. Erskine is a community where veterans and the spouses of veterans live independently and to the fullest. Gifts like these truly bring smiles to many faces.”
Jamie Reid, area director for McGill’s Scotland West, said: “We were thrilled to be support the Erskine Veterans Charity this festive season and to have the opportunity to see first-hand the incredible work they do for veterans and their families, not only at Christmas, but throughout the year.
“Partnering with a charity like Erskine reflects the aims of our ‘A Little Company Goes a Long Way’ campaign. Winter can often feel isolating, and McGill’s is committed to creating opportunities that bring warmth, conversation, and companionship back into the heart of our communities. The work Erskine does encompasses these goals perfectly and we are delighted to continue our support.”
