Inverclyde Now Logo MAN Badly Hurt In Greenock Garage Accident

A GARAGE worker suffered serious leg injuries in an accident in Greenock this morning.

The incident happened in a workshop at Arnold Clark’s Vauxhall premises in Glasgow Road around 8.20am.

The 55-year-old man was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital by ambulance. 

Police say his injuries are significant but are not believed to be life-threatening.

Inverclyde Council environmental health officials are investigating the circumstances. 

Traffic on the A8 was stopped in both directions because an air ambulance was sent to the scene but paramedics decided to transport the casualty by road.
