How Queen Anne is expected to look

GREENOCK is to welcome a brand new Cunard cruise ship this summer.

Queen Anne, which is still under construction in Italy, will come to the Clyde twice during its inaugural season.

The 113,000-tonne vessel is due at the Ocean Terminal on Saturday 1 June as part of the ship’s British Isles Festival Voyage, which will include its naming ceremony at Liverpool.

Queen Anne will return to Greenock on Friday 26 July, as part of an Iceland and British Isles cruise.

The ship will have capacity for around 3,000 passengers, and will have a crew of 1,200.

Cunard’s fleet increases to four with the new arrival, the other vessels being Queen Mary II, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth, all of which have visited Greenock.
