POLICE found suspected cannabis with an estimated street value of £110,000 during a search of two cars in Greenock.
Two men aged 44 and 35 years, and a 15-year-old boy, were arrested and charged in connection with the recovery on Carnock Street around 4.40pm on Thursday.
They were released on an undertaking to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court at a later date. A report will be submitted to prosecutors.
Detective Chief Inspector Steven Elliott said: “A significant amount of cannabis has been seized and removed from circulation.
“Such recoveries have a substantial impact on those involved in the supply of controlled drugs and those who gain financially from this type of criminality.
“Members of the public have a vital role to play in assisting us and I would urge anyone who has any information relating to drugs in their communities to contact 101.
“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
