LANE Closures In Wemyss Bay For 20mph Signs

SIGNS are being installed on the A78 at Wemyss Bay to Skelmorlie for the introduction of 20mph limits

Contractor Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking the work between 9:30am and 4pm until Friday (27 February).

There will be single lane closures managed by two-way temporary traffic lights.

Transport Scotland state: “This initiative supports the Scottish Government’s commitment to improving road safety and reducing casualties by introducing 20 mph limits on appropriate roads across Scotland by March 2026.

“Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.”
