INVESTIGATION After Greenock Car Blaze

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car was set on fire in Greenock.

The incident involved a black Volkswagen Golf GTI Turbo and happened on Cartsburn Street around 12.05am on Monday.

Officers and the Scottish Fire and rescue Service attended and the fire was extinguished, with no injuries reported.

The blaze is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.

Constable Agnieszka Telford said: “We are appealing for anyone with any information which may assist us to get in touch.

“I appeal to anyone who was in the area and saw anything or anyone with dashcam footage or private CCTV to contact us.”
