INVERCLYDE Recruiting Extra Social Workers

19 January, 2021 | Local

STAFF are being taken on as part of an expansion of support services for children in Inverclyde.

Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is employing two additional social workers and recruiting a further four people to fill existing posts.

The extra positions have been created mainly through an expansion of local children’s services that was already planned before the coronavirus outbreak, but also to help with recovering from the pandemic.

Councillor Robert Moran, Inverclyde’s health and social care convener, said: “The support we provide to our children and young people is arguably more crucial now than ever before with so many families struggling because of the pandemic.”
