PIONEERING Inverclyde marketing agency Tweetiepie Media is celebrating a decade of serving businesses locally and beyond.

The Greenock-based business was started by Lizzy Todd, operating as a sole trader working from a laptop, but now has a team of five, all from Inverclyde, run from Aves Business Centre in Jamaica Street.

Lizzy said: “I started the business because I always wanted to work for myself, to have the flexibility to work when and where and to be able to grow my role on my own terms.

“I enjoy working with like-minded clients who are looking to grow and do things a bit differently to get results

“I like building a business where those within it can grow and develop their own skills and develop their careers.”

Lizzy was 22 when she took up a marketing post with the Eriska Hotel near Oban, having completed a degree in business and law at Edinburgh University, drawn to the creativity of the sector.

She started out on her own with Tweetiepie Media, initially focused on social media management but rapidly expanding the services on offer to including website development and all aspects of marketing campaigns.

Clients have appreciated the expertise Lizzy and her team have built up, realising the benefits of outsourcing their marketing to Tweetiepie Media

The industry is constantly changing and Tweetiepie Media is already harnessing AI (artificial intelligence) as a tool to aid the business.

The covid pandemic was the biggest challenge faced by the agency, a storm weathered by diversifying the client base from hospitality and tourism — to the likes of construction, health and beauty and sport.

Lizzy said: “Our turnover has grown and we have clients throughout the UK. We’re looking forward to the opportunities the next decade will bring.”
