TASER Discharged By Police During 8.30am Gourock Incident
POLICE officers used a Taser stun gun during a disturbance involving two men in Gourock.
Officers were called around 8.30am today (Thursday) to a report of a man with a weapon behaving aggressively.
Police Scotland say an altercation took place involving two men, and officers had to discharge a Taser weapon.
Two men, aged 26 and 29, were taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital for treatment.
They were also both arrested in connection with the incident.
In line with regulations required when there is Taser deployment, a report will be submitted to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (PIRC).
