ICONIC paddle steamer Waverley is back on the Clyde after her boiler refit.
The vessel departed Dales Marine ship repair yard James Watt Dock, Greenock on Friday and tied up at the town’s Customhouse Quay.
Waverley Excursions stated: “The work undertaken was only possible thanks to all those who donated to our Boiler Refit Appeal in 2019.
“We are exceptionally grateful that so many individuals and organisations have enabled us to ensure the last seagoing paddle steamer will live on!”
Final commissioning and sea trials will now take place.
CORRECTION — An earlier version of this article said new funnels were installed as part of the refit. This is not the case.
