IN Pictures: Launch Of Inverclyde’s First Electric Buses

MCGILL’S Buses celebrated the arrival of electric buses for their upper Port Glasgow routes.

Five of the brand new vehicles were on show at Coronation Park on Friday afternoon, with members of the public able to go for a free ride on one.

The buses will be used on the 531, 532 and 533 services between Greenock and Slaemuir, Devol and Oronsay Avenue.

A second launch event takes place at Clyde Square, Greenock on Tuesday at 2pm to mark use of the electric buses on the 517 service from Greenock town centre to Larkfield.
