ALBA party leader Alex Salmond was in Greenock today supporting local candidate Chris McEleny.
As well as unveiling a billboard in West Stewart Street, former first minister Salmond visited hairdressing salon Crown and Glory.
Alba announced a “radical” poverty reduction plan.
McEleny, an Inverclyde councillor, left the SNP to join the new pro-independence party.
Like all Alba candidates, he is standing on the regional list for the Scottish Parliament elections.
