HOUSEHOLDERS Urged To Register For Council Tax E-Billing

12 February, 2021 | Noticeboard

INVERCLYDE residents are being encouraged to sign up to receive their council tax bill electronically before the deadline in just over a week’s time.

The local authority is urging as many people as possible to choose e-billing to help reduce the number of paper letters being issued.

Residents have until Monday 22 February to sign up. To register visit www.inverclyde.gov.uk/counciltaxonline.

Those who already have a ‘Parent Pay Online’ account -– the cashless system for schools and families -– can use their existing mygov.scot ‘myaccount’ to register for council tax e-billing.

As well as being able to access their council tax bill, the online portal will also allow people to do things like change personal details, apply for discounts and exemptions, and set up or amend direct debits.

Councillor Stephen McCabe, leader of Inverclyde Council, said: “E-billing is a faster, more efficient and convenient way to receive and check council tax bills. It saves time and reduces the impact on the environment.”
