HOUSE With ‘Living Roof’ Proposed For Greenock West End Corner Site

TWO new houses are being proposed for separate sites in Greenock’s West End — including one with a ‘green’ roof.
An application has been made to build a single-storey detached property at 38 Robertson Street, on the corner with Newton Street.
How the Robertson Street house is expected to look
Drawings and a computer-generated image by Quigley Architects show the two-bedroom property would have vegetation on its flat roof.
Meanwhile another two-bedroom, single-storey detached house, above, also designed by Quigley Architects, is proposed for the grounds of 92 Newark Street but fronting Mews Lane at Westfield Drive.
Both applications are pending assessment by Inverclyde Council planners.
